Are you ready to volunteer to help with Beep Baseball?!?\nChallenge Alaska has arranged some practice times using an indoor facility called Fielder’s Choice. They’re located at 7900 Schoon St.\, just north of the Red Robin on Dimond Blvd. Please see the dates and times below:\n\n\nFriday April 17 from 8:15 – 9:15 pm\nFriday April 24 from 8:15 – 9:15 pm\nFriday May 1 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm\nFriday May 8 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm\nFriday May 22 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm\n\n\nThey will have a shuttle from the Alaska Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired to and from Fielder’s Choice. The shuttle will leave 30 minutes prior to practice times and return to the Center immediately after practice times.\n\n\nPlease check your email account for additional information. DESCRIPTION:The Lions have hosted our Annual Gun Show for over 50 years. This is one of our largest fundraiser thanks to the vendors who participate and the community who come to check everything out. This event helps raise funds to support our local Palmer community by helping with youth and senior programs\, helping families\, and much more. We’ve given to organizations such as the local food pantries\, Salvation Army\, Mat-Su Special Santa\, HeartReach\, Set Free Alaska\, local sports and extracurriculars for both youth and children\, the Palmer Public library and much more. All funds raised by the Palmer Lions in the community go back to our community\, none of them are kept by the club. \nThank you for supporting your Palmer Lions Club.\nTo get an application for a table please email palmerlionsgunshow@gmail.com. SUMMARY:Light Flights over Juneau
DESCRIPTION:Light Flights:  Some time just before Christmas\, you’ll find Lion members and volunteers huddling around outside in the cold winter weather\, trying to keep warm.  It doesn’t matter if the temps are in the low teens and the Taku Winds are blowing sideways\, this annual fundraiser always brings a smile to the participants.  With the cooperation of Coastal Helicopters who donate their time\, copters\, and fuel\, we take passengers on a helicopter ride over the Mendenhall Valley to view Christmas lights.  We average about 300 passengers a year\, during a four-hour period.  The proceeds from this event are shared with Coastal Helicopters\, whose chosen charity is the Children’s Tumor Foundation and our share of the proceeds goes into other sight projects.
