This back-to-school event hosted by the Anchorage Health Department and Parks & Rec’s Fairview Recreation Center is for Fairview & surrounding neighborhood kids with school supply giveaways. They invited community & social service organizations to staff booths or donate supplies or useful items. The Lions will be there in the vision trailer doing free Visionscreening for the attendees.

Each kid attending the event will be given a passport. They will need to visit and get a stamp from each of the booths, The student will receive a backpack and school supplies when they turn in their filled passport. The organizers are partnering with Sophia Metters from the GAP program this year so they are expecting to have 1500+ attendees.
